What is a disease?

Disease, within the realm of biology, is a complex and dynamic concept that encompasses the disruption of normal physiological processes within an organism, leading to deviation from a state of optimal health.

German New Medicine by Dr Ryke Geerd Hammer; Recall Healing by Dr Gilbert Renaud, and Total Biology by Dr Claude Sabbah, they all challenge traditional medical paradigms by suggesting alternative explanations for the origins of diseases. They encourage individuals to explore their health from a different viewpoint and consider the influence of emotions on their well-being.

For the past three years, I have been studying all three modalities mentioned above and now completed the training course ready to incorporate what I’ve learnt into my coaching.

German New Medicine (GNM), Recall Healing, and Total Biology share some common themes and ideas, although they each have their own unique approaches to understanding the mind-body connection and the role of emotions in health and disease. Here are some similarities between these approaches:

  1. Emotional Connections to Disease: All three approaches emphasize the idea that emotional experiences and unresolved conflicts can play a significant role in the development of diseases. They suggest that emotional stressors can impact physiological processes and contribute to health issues.

  2. Holistic Perspective: GNM, Recall Healing, and Total Biology take a holistic view of health, considering the interconnectedness of emotions, thoughts, and physical health. They propose that addressing the emotional and psychological aspects of an individual's life is essential for achieving overall well-being.

  3. Root Cause Identification: These approaches all seek to identify the underlying emotional or psychological causes of health issues. They posit that by addressing these root causes, individuals can potentially facilitate healing and prevent disease recurrence.

  4. Individualized Approach: GNM, Recall Healing, and Total Biology recognize that each person's experiences and emotional responses are unique. They emphasize the importance of understanding an individual's personal history and emotional triggers in order to provide personalized healing strategies.

  5. Mind-Body Connection: All three approaches highlight the strong connection between the mind and the body. They suggest that emotions and thoughts can influence physiological responses, and that addressing emotional conflicts can positively impact physical health.

In the context of German New Medicine (GNM), disease is perceived as a natural and meaningful biological response to specific emotional shocks or conflicts. Developed by Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer, GNM challenges conventional medical paradigms by suggesting that diseases are not random occurrences, but rather purposeful adaptations of the body in response to psychological and emotional stressors. According to GNM, when an individual experiences a significant emotional shock, the brain registers this shock and initiates a biological program that affects specific organs or tissues related to the nature of the conflict. These conflicts are categorized into two phases: the conflict-active phase, during which the body responds with symptoms corresponding to the specific organ or tissue involved, and the healing phase, during which the body works to restore balance and repair the affected area. GNM underscores the importance of understanding the psychological triggers underlying diseases and aims to uncover the connections between emotional experiences and physiological responses. By addressing the root emotional conflicts, GNM proposes that individuals can support their body's natural healing processes and potentially prevent the recurrence of disease. This perspective challenges traditional views of illness and offers an alternative approach that emphasizes the intricate interplay between emotions, the mind, and the body in shaping our health.

In the framework of Recall Healing, disease is viewed as a manifestation of the intricate connections between emotional experiences, past traumas, and physiological responses within an individual. Recall Healing proposes that unresolved emotional conflicts and traumas from one's personal history can become imprinted in the body's cellular memory, potentially leading to the development of various health issues. These unresolved conflicts are believed to create a state of stress that can disrupt the body's natural balance and contribute to the onset of disease. By delving into the past and identifying these emotional triggers, Recall Healing aims to uncover the hidden connections between emotional experiences and physical ailments. This approach emphasizes the importance of addressing not only the physical symptoms but also the underlying emotional and psychological factors that may be contributing to the disease. Through this holistic perspective, Recall Healing seeks to facilitate a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection, allowing individuals to explore their own narratives and work towards healing and wellness on multiple levels.

In the framework of Total Biology, developed by Claude Sabbah, disease is perceived as a meaningful biological response rather than a random or arbitrary occurrence. Total Biology posits that every physical ailment, symptom, or health issue has an underlying purpose and is linked to specific emotional conflicts and life experiences. According to this approach, unresolved emotional traumas and conflicts, often originating from early life experiences, can trigger biological responses in the body. These responses are seen as adaptive strategies aimed at helping individuals cope with the emotional challenges they face. Total Biology recognizes two phases in the development of disease: the conflict-active phase, during which the body responds with physiological changes to assist in managing the emotional conflict, and the healing phase, which occurs once the emotional conflict is resolved, allowing the body to restore itself to balance. This holistic perspective emphasizes the interconnectedness of emotions, thoughts, and physiological processes, suggesting that addressing the root emotional causes is essential for true healing. By exploring the individual's personal history and the emotional triggers associated with their health issues, Total Biology seeks to uncover the hidden connections between the mind and body, offering a comprehensive approach to wellness that integrates psychological, emotional, and physical aspects of health.

By adhering to the foundational concepts of these modalities, I aim to help my clients uncover the intricate connections between their emotional experiences, unresolved conflicts, and their physical health. By identifying the specific emotional conflicts associated with their health issues, I will work collaboratively with clients to develop a tailored approach for addressing these root causes.

While I advocate for the principles of German New Medicine (GNM) to guide our approach towards healing, it's essential to recognize that each individual's path to well-being is unique. I encourage my clients to explore a comprehensive range of options, including standard medical interventions, if they feel it aligns with their healing journey.
